Aww, There's a Tea-Bagging Reunion Today

Aww, There's a Tea-Bagging Reunion Today

April 15, 2009. Remember that? Best day of your life, right? Not just because you got to pay taxes, but rather because you got a chance to complain about paying those taxes.

The Weekly, at least, had a pretty good time at last month's tax-hating/liberals-bashing Tea Party in Santa Ana. We covered it here, and even made a pretty slideshow of all the crazy signs and costumes! Santa Ana may have been OC's biggest anti-tax bash that day, but there was a slew of other ones too. Turns out, the guys at the Mission Viejo festivities had so much fun they're going to do it again.

The Saddleback Republican Assembly is going to rally today from 4:30 to 6:30 at the corners of Marguerite and La Paz in Mission Viejo. Yes, these are pretty much the same group of people that's trying to recall councilman Lance MacLean. Mission Viejo wins the homespun conservative activism award, if you ask me.

The steam in the tea kettle this time around is directed at tomorrow's special election on the  legislature's six budget-related ballot measures. Don't forget to vote! Our own Scott Moxley is with the Tea Baggers -- and pretty much everyone else in this state -- in regards to how to vote on each: no, no, no, no, no and no.
