Remember guys, if you want to be a successful doctor, don't defraud Medicare; you'll probably get your license revoked. That's what Buena Park Doctor Augustus Ohemeng apparently forgot. His medical license was automatically revoked effective last Tuesday after he was found guilty of six felony charges of defrauding Medicare connected to Long Beach-based Pacific Clinic.
Doctors at the clinic falsely prescribed hundreds of patients feeding systems, sending them off to get the systems from their friends. The doctors in turn received a $300 kickback for each referral.

In total, they defrauded Medicare of nearly $3 million between 2005 and 2009. For his part in the scheme, Ohemeng will be spending 42 months in federal prison and will be placed on three years probation after he gets out. He'll also have to pay back $2,964.934.
So, uh, if you're trying to schedule an appointment, you might have to wait a bit.
