Getting director Kim Ji-Woon to open the 2013 Busan West Film Festival at Chapman University is enough of a coup, so it's just piling on to consider the star of Kim's debut U.S. feature will also be tagging along.

Ahnuld's first lead-actor role since leaving the California Office of the Governator was in The Last Stand, which Kim directed from a script by Andy Knauer, who got an MFA in screenwriting from Chapman's Dodge College of Film and Media Arts in 2006 and will also be in attendance at the Busan West opening on March 8.
The trio is scheduled at 6:30 that night to take part in a special presentation that includes a moderated discussion on their collaboration on The Last Stand.
The West Coast version of the <ac****@ro************.com>South Korean event that has become Asia's largest film festival continues through March 10 with acclaimed films from China, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and the U.S.
New to the festival this year is a competition for short films, with awards presented at the Closing Night reception and two winning shorts getting slots in the Busan program in South Korea.

The festival on the Orange campus also includes a martial arts cinema panel on Sunday, March 10, that will include renowned martial arts writer/director Haofeng Xu (The Grandmaster, The Sword Identity).
