Another Target of Tiny Group That Got Lowe's to Pull Ad Was E! Bio on Surf City Resident

Lowe's is suffering a backlash from politicians, civil rights advocates and celebrities from Mia Farrow to Kal Penn for bowing to pressure from the tiny Florida Family Association to pull the home improvement retail giant's commercials from TLC's All-American Muslim. But Lowe's was just the latest advertiser approached by the conservative Christian group that claims its campaigns have had varying success. After the jump are other targets of the FFA, including a biography on a Huntington Beach resident.

A Lowe's spokesman explained to The Hollywood
Reporter
Friday its decision to bow to the FFA: “We understand the program raised concerns,
complaints or issues from
multiple sides of the viewer spectrum, which we found after doing
research of news articles and blogs covering the show.”

Under that reasoning, guess we won't see any Lowe's ads during The McLaughlin Group.

Here's that list we promised:

ABC's Modern Family (for characterizing same-sex relationships as normal and heterosexual couples as abnormal, according to the FFA)

Gay
Day at Disney World (but, alas, not Disneyland. It's unfair, FFA
claimed, that Gay Day is all day while grad nights and the Night of Joy
Christian celebration are held after-hours)
[

Teen Nick's Degrassi (“offensive”)

Nick at Nite's Glenn Martin, DDS (ditto)

Logo's RuPaul's Drag Race (double ditto with a finger snap)

E!'s The Girls Next Door (for jiggling dirty pillows)

E! True Hollywood Story: Jenna Jameson (for exposing Surf City's very own former adult entertainer to the basic-cable masses)
