An Anaheim teen is among two men who have been arrested—with a third 17-year-old still at large at press time—in Sunday's home invasion slaying of a Downey resident police believe was targeted.

Paul Darvis Misikei, 19, was booked on suspicion of homicide along with Long Beach 28-year-old Henry Willie Sao, according to Downey Police  Sgt. Terry Goeckner.

Officers were sent about 11:15 a.m. to the home in the 10300 block of Lesterford Avenue, where witnesses had seen two males contact the homeowner near a side door and force him back in as a third person entered, said Goeckner, whose responders found a dead man there.

Police have not identified him but neighbors say he was 59-year-old Jim Rudometkin, a Whittier-based Realtor who had lived alone since the death of his father. Friends described Rudometkin as a kind, church-going man who helped those in need.

Downey Police set up a perimeter around the neighborhood before taking Sao and Misikei into custody. The suspect still at large was described as Asian or Pacific Islander, about 17 years old, 5 feet 8 and 160 pounds, with bushy hair. He was wearing a button-down orange or red shirt, blue jeans and black-and-white tennis shoes, police said.

The suspect vehicle was a white older-model sedan.

"Further information gathered during this investigation points to the victim being specifically targeted by the suspects," Downey Police Lt. Alex Irizabal told City News Service. "We do not believe this was a random crime."

Anyone with information is asked to call Downey Police at 562.904.2308; Detective Paul Hernandez at 562.904.2368; or Crime Stoppers
at 800.222.8477.
