"5 Documented Gang Members" Held in Slaying of Anaheim's Eduardo Curiel Molina: Update
Anaheim Police Department

UPDATE, NOV. 23, 9:42 A.M.: "Five documented gang members"--the four adults shown here and a juvenile--have been arrested in the Nov. 14 Ponderosa Park homicide, according to Anaheim Police.

Detective Laura Lomeli says homicide investigators working the early morning shooting death of 36-year-old Anaheim resident Eduardo Curiel Molina relied on "the assistance of information from numerous witnesses" to put together the case against the juvie and Fernando Jesus Castillo, 19; Martin Fernando Diaz, 21; Sabrina Marie Varela, 18; and Albert Jose Curiel, 20. The minor was taken to juvenile hall and the adults were held in the city jail on the same charge: suspicion of homicide with gang enhancements, Lomeli said. "A suspect vehicle has been located and impounded as evidence," she added. Police do not believe there are any more suspects out there, but evidence is still being collected in the case. Anyone with information can submit it, even anonymously, to Orange County Crime Stoppers at 855.847.6227 (855-TIP-OCCS), via occrimestoppers.org or by texting to 274637 (C-R-I-M-E-S) from a cell phone. (All text messages should begin with the letters "OCCS".)
