Warped Tour Founder Offers Performance Slot to 2011 OC Music Award Winner

If only Dusty Rhodes and the River Band had waited a year to win OC Music Awards Best Live Band award.
If only Dusty Rhodes and the River Band had waited a year to win OC Music Awards Best Live Band award.

Even though it's way to early for us to start thinking about the 2011 OC Music Awards, we recently got word of a special offer made by

Vans Warped Tour

founder Kevin Lyman that involves next year's crop of Best Live Band nominees.

Lyman made an appearance on stage at the Grove this year as an award presenter for "Best Album". Apparently he was so impressed by our local talent that he's offered up a performance slot on all four dates of the 2011 SoCal leg of the Vans Warped Tour for the band that takes the award home next year. Pretty sweet right? So what exactly does that mean for you aspiring crop of unknown OC acts looking to break it big? Besides the chance to share a stage with some mondo headliners and a chance to get noticed by a few thousand people, it also means you better start  getting those riffs together before the next awards show on Mar. 5, 2011 After all, it's only about 11 months away.
