UPDATE, AUGUST 11, 2011, 1:03 P.M.: Within a matter of seconds, not even a minute, the tickets to the Green Day show sold out. Bummer! But don't feel bad if you didn't get a ticket, you're not alone. Many fans are upset too, and they're venting their anger on the band's Facebook page. “This was bullshit,” Westminster resident and Green Day fan Zach Hammill wrote commented on the last status uptdate. “As a long time SoCal fan, I'm pretty upset. I was on top of that. I was refreshing my page every .0001 seconds. As soon as the button appeared, I clicked it, put in the code, and still got screwed. I type 74 words per minute.”

Due to the overwhelming demand for tickets, the Tiki Bar and the City of
Costa Mesa asked Green Day to pre-sell tickets for the event. Save you
sleeping bags and tents because the venue's security guards will not
allow you to camp, line up or even stand by the sidewalk.

that it would make a difference anyway, because the tickets, which cost
$20, aren't on sale yet, and won't be until 1 p.m. tomorrow. How can you

If you want to get a ticket, you will have to check out
Green Day's Facebook page tomorrow, which is where
they're releasing information on where to buy tickets. Only 250 tickets will be made available; the venue
has a maximum capacity of 300.
Bar managers and doormen, said people flew in from places like England and
Sweden to Costa Mesa just to get a chance to see Green Day at such an intimate venue.
But unless you get one of the 250 tickets, you won't get in. John says not even TMZ (who've contacted the bar), will get special treatment.
