[UPDATE: MONSTER MASSIVE 2011 OFFICIALLY CANCELED] Armin Van Buuren Announces Monster Massive Date Is Canceled, Erick Morillo Is Out, Too

UPDATE: Oct. 14, 9:03 p.m.:
Monster Massive finally released its official cancellation announcement on Facebook and on its website:

Due to unforeseen circumstances, and with great
disappointment, Go Ventures announces that this year's Monster Massive
scheduled for October 29, 2011 has been cancelled.

We would like to thank all of our loyal supporters, affiliates and
staff for their hard work, commitment and efforts in support of this
much loved event. Go Ventures upholds the belief of Quality Music,
Stellar Production and Lifetime Memories. Go Ventures would not put on
an event that did not meet these high standards.

We want to assure our fans that Monster Massive will return in
2012 better than ever, with a First Class Line-up and State of the
Art Production, consistent with what our fans expect from Go Ventures.

UPDATE: Oct. 14, 11:33 a.m.: Monster Massive 2011 is officially canceled. Flav.or.us, the official ticketing site of the event, has stopped selling tickets and posted the news “canceled” on their website. CLICK HERE TO LEARN HOW TO GET YOUR REFUND.

Original post, Oct. 14, 7:58 p.m.: Here's the final nail in the Monster Massive coffin: Armin Van Buuren finally posted on his site and on the Armin Only site that the Armin Only Mirage show isn't happening, saying, “The show has been canceled due to circumstances beyond our control.”

The DJ says, “I am
completely devastated by this cancellation. I've never cancelled an
Armin Only show before, so I'm very upset to have to now.

Even after the not-entirely unexpected announcement, there's still no
official word from Monster Massive's organizers, Go Ventures, other than the two-day-old status update on its Facebook page claiming the 14-year-old event ”


Here's Van Buuren's announcement on his site:

It's with great regret that we have to announce the Armin Only Mirage
show at Monster Massive 2011 won't be going ahead in Los Angeles on
29th October. The show has been cancelled due to circumstances beyond
our control. If you've already bought tickets; any questions can be
directed to Go Ventures via in**@go********.com or +1 (818) 348-1397.

Armin van Buuren regrets to announce the cancellation of the October
29th date in Los Angeles. Armin, issued the following statement: “Sorry
to keep so many of you in the dark regarding my Armin Only event date in
LA, but we wanted to be sure of the date before we spoke to you. I
understand any anger or upset, but I hope you all understand that I am
completely devastated by this cancellation. I've never cancelled an
Armin Only show before so I'm very upset to have to now. I hope I will
see as many of you as possible in the near future”.
We are very sorry for anyone who was planning on going to this show.
We are just as disappointed as you are. Please accept our sincerest
apologies.

Here's Erick Morillo's statement:

“For those of you that had bought tickets expecting to see me at
Monster Massive, what can I say, I think this is a blow for us all! I'd
heard so many great things about the Monster Massive shows and was
really looking forward to being a part of this Halloween extravaganza.
So to hear that we now have to cancel is a big upset to me. These
decisions are not made lightly and apologies to all those that had made
plans. I hope to see you all very soon”.
