This Week in We Are All in Love

Look, so Weezer's past two or three albums haven't exactly been stellar. And with recent singles that we actually have to be on drugs to enjoy, the Weez's Rick Rubin-produced fifth album, Make Believe, has somehow turned out to be significantly worse than the previous two.

But remember those days when you proudly sported that lightning-bolt guitar strap in your garage band that never did get that record deal (but totally deserved one) or when you uncomfortably slow danced to “Say It Ain't So” in the high school gymnasium?

With a front man notorious for his social ineptness and general spite for fans, this album and tour may just be the last we hear from Weezer — but then again, what else is new?

And if that's not enough, some band called the Foo Fighters will also be there.

Weezer and the Foo Fighters at the Long Beach Convention Center, 300 E. Ocean Blvd, Long Beach, (562) 436-3636;WWW.LONGBEACHCC.COM. Sat.-Sun., 7:30 p.m. $29.50-$39.50. All ages.
