The Willowz, Originally from Anaheim, Live Thursday Morning on KEXP

Remember the Willowz? That Anaheim-based garage punk quartet that landed at No. 46 on Rolling Stone's Top 50 Records of 2005 list thanks to Talk in Circles? Yeah, them. Well, the group--who now call the nit and grit of New York home--are still kicking, and still kicking well.

The Willowz are out promoting their latest record, Everyone, by doing what bands do, which is play live. They recently performed an acoustic set with the Delta Spirit's Matthew Vasquez on KCRW (click here to listen) and have a 10-day East Coast tour with the Delta Spirit lined up for February.

Before anyone gets super bummed about our hometown boys and girl not playing locally, the Willowz's new tunes (and an interview) can be heard performed live thanks to the Intranet on Seattle radio station KEXP Thursday morning from 6-10 a.m. And in case you were wondering, New York hasn't ruined the Willowz. The new tunes continue in the open chord, fuzzed out garage style that we've all come to expect--and love--from the band.
