The Cure to Play First Three Albums in One Show at Pantages Theater

Ever since the Cure performed their first three albums–Three Imaginary Boys (1979), Seventeen Seconds (1980) and Faith (1981)–in a 44-song, nearly four-hour concert last March at the
Vivid Festival in Sydney, fans have been waiting for news of a world tour.

If you are a fan (as I am, and always have been), the announcement that the goth prototype is bringing the show (called “Reflections“) to their only West Coast appearance will make your head explode with joy. (And even if you are a fan of only the British band's early work, the news that they're playing three shows from November 21-23 at The Pantages Theatre in LA will make you do a special happy dance.)

This is akin to Radiohead only doing Pablo Honey and the Bends, or U2 performing Boy, October and War in one show. It may have been done before, but would still be interesting to watch.

Tickets for theĀ  LA shows will go on-sale Monday,
Oct. 31 at 10 a.m. and are available online at Ticketmaster.com and at
all Ticketmaster outlets. Tickets are 65 to $105 each.
