When news broke that our beloved System of a Down was reuniting and playing in Europe for two weeks in June 2011, my brain started shorting. After going on indefinite hiatus in 2006 (just a few months after releasing their fifth album, Hypnotize), System of a Down left a discernible gap in the spectrum of intelligent rock music.

On their site, the band said they don't have a "master plan of sorts," but "We are playing these shows simply because we want to play together again as a band and for you, our amazing fans."
