Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart's First Tour Together

It has been 20 years since Stevie Nicks and Rod Stewart have seen each other, but the pair announced earlier this month on The Ellen DeGeneres Show that they will be playing a 16-date co-headlining “Heart & Soul” tour. They have not toured together before, so it will be a unique classic-rock experience to see them live in Los Angeles on April 16 at the Hollywood Bowl.

On the show, Nicks remembered she attended a New Year's Eve party in the '70s at Stewart's home in LA. She was admiring the beautiful Tiffany lamps in his living room while drinking a glass of wine. She was passing by the room when he requested, “Please don't take that wine in there.” Nicks was embarrassed.
Touring was an idea that Stewart's daughters Ruby and Kimberly had last year. Stewart told Rolling Stone that his kids “love Stevie and that she's ultra-cool.” Stevie will open the three-hour show with Fleetwood Mac hits and solo tunes, followed by Stewart's set mixing his solo songs, Faces material and (most likely) covers. Don't worry, there will be a portion of the show where they sing together, as well. Stewart admitted he would like to sing Nicks and Don Henley's 1981 duet “Leather and Lace.” Also, Nicks plans to join Stewart on “The First Cut Is the Deepest” and “Reason to Believe.”
On a side note, we're also very excited to hear that Stewart is planning an LP with former bandmate Jeff Beck. This will mark their first album together since they were in the Jeff Beck Group in the late-'60s. Nicks is slated to release In Your Dreams, her first solo album in a decade, on May 3. It will be co-produced by Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, and advance word is that it delves into her relationship with Lindsey Buckingham (surprise, surprise!). Sadly, neither will be making an appearance in OC, but you can catch them performing in Los Angeles.
