Show of the Day: Anthony Green, Glass House, Pomona

Effeminate-voiced Anthony Green--what? the dude sings like a lady--either likes to work with many different people or is a total dick who doesn't play well with others. Back around 2003 the Pennsylvanian moved here and fronted Saosin, which he named, according to our recent story on the band, before splitting with the Newport Beach band shortly thereafter. The 27-year-old's resume also includes stints with Audience of One, Jeer at Rome, High and Driving, as well as Zolof the Rock and Roll Destroyer.

The singer-songwriter, who has a penchant for indie rock with an emo bent, currently leads Circa Survive and The Sound of Animals Fighting. Oh yeah, and then there's the solo career, which Green has been messing with since 2005. Last summer, he issued his proper solo debut

, which reached No. 44 on the Billboard 200 and includes the creepily titled hit "Dear Child (I've Been Trying to Reach You."

Anthony Green w/Good Old War, the Glass House, 200 W. Second St., Pomona. 7 p.m. Today. $13 via Ticketmaster.

Brea-based rock quartet Fallborn, which we wrote about here, performs today at the Gypsy Lounge.
