See You At The Liquid Aloha Fest! Two Guns' Kevin Poush Is Definitely A Pineapple Pizza Man
To celebrate the 14th anniversary of OC Weekly's annual summer guide, we're co-hosting a party with the Kona Brewing Co. at The Strand, 500 Pacific Coast Highway, Huntington Beach on Saturday, 3 to 8 p.m. It's all ages, and free--so you have no excuse to miss it! There'll be a Kona Beer Garden, after which Danny Maika plays at a 21+ party at Shorebreak Hotel.
We're also letting you preview most of the artists on the lineup; Two Guns is the fourth in the Liquid Aloha Fest Q&A series.
Two Guns--made up of Kevin Poush, Aaron Bradford, Brad Lindsay and newcomers Harris Pittman and Gabe Palmer--have definitely mastered the art of the sweet hook in their songwriting. The songs off the Long Beach band's 2009 self-titled debut making you think of iced tea and lazy afternoons driving around; it also got airplay from over 40 national radio stations including KROQ and KCRW.
If their songs sound familiar, it's probably because you've heard them on various film and TV spots, including Jason Bushman'sHollywood Je T'aime
and the season finale ofJersey Shore
. Currently in the studio with Cold War Kids' producer Matt Wignall, watch out for their sophomore effort,Far People in Far Places
, out sometime this year.
