Known to their parents as Mike Stroud and Evan Mast, the Ratatat boys are touring this fall to promote their fourth studio album, LP4. The duo is stopping at Pomona's Fox Theater on Sept. 29. The album's been out a while, so if you're a fan you probably already
downloaded a leaked copy have it. But here's good news for people who don't like to steal music: if you buy a ticket to a Ratatat show, you'll get a free high quality download of LP4 (one album per order). It's a limited offer, after which Ticketmaster will sell the album for $7 with a ticket purchase. The offer is good at Ticketmaster outlets only. I don't remember Ticketmaster ever doing anything similar, but does this herald Ticketmaster's entry into album distribution? Stay tuned.
