Poop Bassist Jacob Bach Arrested After Beating Death of Drummer Steven Pratt

An arrest was made following the murder of drummer Steven Pratt of Fullerton band Poop, who was beaten to death on Tuesday during an altercation at a Fullerton rehearsal studio. Poop's Bassist Jacob Leeroy Bach, 35, was taken into custody on July 3, and is currently being housed at the Musick Facility in Orange, according to arrest records in the Orange County District Attorney's Office. As of now, Bach is being held on charges unrelated to the beating and the District Attorney's office is reviewing the case, Lt. Robert Bastreri of Fullerton Police Department says.

 On Tuesday, the Orange Count Register reported that two men were discovered bleeding outside of a commercial building in the 1100 block of Raymond Avenue just before 6:30 a.m. and were taken to UCI Medical Center. A call to the Orange hospital confirmed that Bach and Pratt were both admitted to the hospital, where Pratt died of his injuries. Bach was treated for non life- threatening injuries and discharged from the hospital on the same day before being taken into custody. According to arrest records, bail amount is set at $20,000.

Fullerton Police are still investigating the case and have yet to confirm any details about what exactly took place on the night Pratt was killed. Authorities did say that there were no weapons involved and  there were no indications of a robbery.
