Of Mice and Men's Austin Carlile Released From Jail in Ohio Following Assault Charges

Fans of Costa Mesa metalcore band Of Mice and Men breathed a sigh of relief when lead singer Austin Carlile and the band's drum tech Lionel Robinson II were released from jail in Ohio on Monday after being arrested on felonious assault charges over the weekend. Both were taken into custody early Saturday morning after the band's show on Friday night in Bowling Green at a club called Clazel.

Carlile, 25, now residing in Huntington Beach, was nabbed for felonious
assault around 2:50 p.m. outside 149 North along with Robinson II, 27,
of Escondido, according to police reports. Police responded when a fight
broke out between two groups of people with one person lying on the
ground unconscious. Authorities say the victim in that fight was
transported to a local hospital with fractured nasal bones.

After
their video arraignment on Monday morning, Carlile (former frontman of Ohio metalcore band Attack! Attack!) and Robinson II both
posted a $25,000 bail and were released on the condition that they have
no direct or indirect contact with the alleged victim until further
order from the court, according to Municipal Court officials A
preliminary hearing is set for both of them on April 15 at 9 a.m.

No
comment so far from the band's camp about the incident, though it
appears they are still slated to resume their national tour, which makes
a stop in Pomona at the Fox Theater on April 21.
