Orange County singer/songwriter Stacy Clark--who has already gained national attention from her delightful pop tunes appearing on MTV, CW, ABC, and Bravo--just inked a deal with Vanguard Records. It became official today after about a month of talks. "It's so exciting and crazy and overwhelming," Clark says by phone from her home in Costa Mesa.
Clark performed Connect the Dots selections like "All Time Low," "Anywhere," "Hold On," and "Don't Take What's Mine" during her band's celebrated OC Music Awards Showcase Series appearances. She will be attending the OC Music Awards at the Grove of Anaheim on Saturday (March 6), where Clark has been nominated in the Best Pop category. (She also made it to the final round for Best Live Acoustic act.) Clark is trying her best to keep everything in perspective. "I want people to know I'm thrilled," she says. "But I'm a realist. I don't won't to set my expectations too high and then be disappointed."
