We're more than halfway through the OC Music Awards showcase series–and getting closer to the 2011 Music Awards Ceremony at the City National Grove of Anaheim on March 5. Tonight, local acts Justin Soileau, Micah Brown, Parker Macy Blues, Danny Maika, and The Foxx & Da Hound will compete in the category of Best Live Acoustic Performer.

Once again, radio personality Beer Mug from KROQ-FM 106.7's morning show will host the event. Free PopChips will be dispersed throughout the show, Bud Light specials will be available, and the first 50 people will get free tacos from the Wahoo's fish-taco truck.
Be sure to cast your fan vote online through Feb. 15 and help an artist in each category (who weren't chosen by the panel of judges) to move to the Showcase Series Finals. Also enter for chance to win a $500 gift card from Best Buy, a year supply of Wahoo's tacos, two tickets and one hotel room in Las Vegas for Redbull's Sound Clash on March 12, and a year's supply of Pop Chips. Also, at the Best Live Acoustic Finals on Feb. 24, the OC Music Awards will open its annual listening-wall exhibit in the Leo Fender Gallery. It will feature 11 iPod listening stations representing 24 of the awards categories with a song from each nominated artist. This exhibit will run through May 8.
