No U2 Means No Interpol: Interpol Tour Built Around U2 Dates Postponed

Since U2 canceled their North American
tour due to Bono's back injury, Interpol also had to postpone a few headlining shows originally scheduled around the band's opening dates for U2.

Here's the message from the Interpol site:

Unfortunately, due to the postponement of the upcoming U2 US dates,
Interpol has had to rework its summer tour schedule.

With the exception of four shows, we have had to cancel our announced
dates. Shows in Rochester, Buffalo, Pittsburgh, and Allentown will be
happening. The rest of the shows will be rescheduled. If you have
purchased tickets for a cancelled date, please contact the “point of
purchase” and get a full refund.

We lament the change in plans, apologize for the inconvenience, and
assure you that we'll do you right – when the time is right and the
light is nice.

There were no West Coast dates canceled on this leg, and we're sure they're coming this way at some point this year. But still. First Carlos D leaves the band, now they're not touring. My heart bleeds as an Interpol fan.
