Monday Night Raw's Six Most Memorable Music Moments

Tonight, television's longest running weekly episodic program, WWE's “Monday Night Raw” has its 1,000th episode. While the show's most known for its brawls in and out of the ring, the past 19 years have had plenty of unforgettable cameos from some of the biggest names in music. On this momentous occasion, we raise our glass (and steel chair) to the WWE and look back on some of its most memorable music moments.

Tiny Tim Tip-Toes with Jerry “The King” Lawler (1993)

“Raw's” first season made an effort to distinguish itself from other wrestling shows by providing the unexpected every week, and what could be less expected on a wrestling show than Tiny Tim? Interviewed here by famed Andy Kaufman foe Jerry “The King” Lawler, a witty comeback from the falsetto crooner causes “The King” to destroy his cherished ukelele.

The Joe C. – Edge & Christian Conflict (2000)

At the turn of the century, two of the biggest pop culture phenomenons were nu-metal and professional wrestling, so it's only natural they collided in May of 2000 when Kid Rock played his single “American Badass” live on “Raw.” It wasn't as good of a night for Rock's partner Joe C. who, after a case of mistaken identity, found himself the victim of an attack by tag team champs Edge and Christian.

Kevin Federline vs. WWE Champion John Cena (2007)

In October of 2006, aspiring rapper and Britney Spears' then-husband Kevin Federline appeared on “Raw” to promote his debut album Playing With Fire. The crowd hated him so much that Federline was brought back as a recurring character over the next three months and quickly became one of the most reviled bad guys on the pro-wresrling roster, culminating with a New Years' Day showdown with WWE Champion John Cena.

Chris Jericho Confronts ZZ Top (2009)

In 2009, WWE decided to shake things up at “Raw” by giving the show a weekly celebrity guest host. The week ZZ Top showed up to promote their summer tour with Aerosmith, wrestler/author and Fozzy lead-singer Chris Jericho crashed the party and attempted to strike a kinship, with less than favorable results.

Snoop Dogg Collides with Chavo Guerrero (2009)

Also hosting “Raw” that year was longtime fan Snoop Dogg, who made his presence felt by saving beloved leprechaun Hornswoggle from dastardly bully Chavo Guerrero. That's how they spear in the LBC.

Meatloaf Meets Randy Orton (2010)

To promote his new album, Meatloaf surprised the “Raw” audience by attempting to convince the unstable Randy Orton that one of his songs would be perfect for his new entrance music. Unfortunately, the Bat Out of Hell singer got disposed of like yesterday's leftovers.
