Apparently, last week's initial Big Audio at Long Beach's Basement Lounge didn't involve any sex acts (not in the club, anyway...afterwards, that's a different story) and the folks running the joint is letting the promoters do it again. Promoter Markus D. Manley was kind enough to give us the scoop on what's going down this week, which includes Thursday and Saturday night events.
So instead of boring you with our words, let's let him do the talking. Take it away, Markus.
(Oh, and by the way, the Basement Lounge is an ultra-killer underground club beneath the Broadlind. And better yet, there's no dress code.)

"Got both the BIG AUDIO show this Thursday and a new party this Saturday called No Soap Radio. No Soap Radio is more of a free for all because we're mixing all sorts of live rock bands with DJs. The bands range from post punk disco to funk to straight rock & roll. The DJs are playing everything from '80s hits to soul to old school hip hop jams. The idea is to make it more of a house party vibe and there isn't necessarily DJ set times, but more we invite some friends to bring some records and their band equip to jam for friends. The party starts at 7 p.m. with free entry until 10 p.m., then it's $5 to get in. But the secret to getting in free after 10 p.m. is if you know any of the bands or DJs, hit them up to put you on their unlimited guestlist that's open all night."
As far as tonight goes, Manley says the party includes:
"Mike B. (LAX/Banana Split)
Thee Mike B. ain't new. Originally from LA, he made the move to NY in the late '90s and quickly became one of the NY boys. Alongside Stretch Armstrong and others, he helped build a scene that is now world renowed. Since his return to the Golden State, his influence on current DJ culture and involvement in parties like Banana Split has made him... Shit, just Google it!
John Pabulum (Mind Fruit-San Diego/Rome, Italy)
Free w/ RSVP to first 75 people, $5 after.
RSVP - closes the day of event at 7pm.
And here's the scoop for Saturday
