Lady Gaga has descended from the sky and touched an elegantly platformed foot--perhaps filled with gold fish or the essence of rainbows--on the streets of Los Angeles. The self-proclaimed pop icon will be playing two sold-out shows at the Staples Center starting tonight. Among the more impressive facts:
- The hits on her official YouTube/Vevo channel combine to 667,070,854--of course by now that number is higher.
- Ironically, Gaga has also been nominated this year for the most MTV Video Music Awards ever totaling 13. This of course begs the question, who's watching MTV for the videos anymore?
- Lady Gaga's digital singles have sold 18.1 million.
- There will be 15 costume changes during the concert.
