Way back when, there was this radio station called KNAC. They were based out of Long Beach and played metal. I was in middle school, so needless to say, I loved it.
Every freakin' night, KNAC had a program called Mandatory Metallica. It was hosted by Poundin' Pat and it had this killer intro that went something like this:
KNAC guy: "KNAC. What do you want to hear?"
Then they'd run through a bunch of clips of supposed callers yelling "Metallica" as wild and hession as possible. When you're 12, it's pretty awesome.
Anyway, Metallica is playing Dec. 10 at the Honda Center in Anaheim. I saw Metaillca once at the only Lollapalooza I went to and they were by far the loudest band I ever heard. We had really shitty tickets just in front of the lawn section at Irvine Meadows, but my two friends and I had two female friends who had something like sixth row seats. So we did the ol' "two people walk out with one ticket stub until every single person from the lame seats in down front" and got much closer.

Lemmy came out and played a few Motorhead songs, but I ears were ringing so loud I couldn't tell you what they were. Seriously, my ears rang for like a week after.
My point...if you go, bring earplugs.
Tickets go on sale April 11.
