De-cem-ber thir-teenth, much more bayyyyyounce, Ice Cube's coming with a half-ounce. (Or not, potentially. Just wanted to be lyrical.)
Sure, Ice Cube may not be as "cool" as he once was, what with his starring in a slew of mediocre-at-best family films like The Longshots (directed by Fred Durst!) and Are We There Yet? (not to mention the surely stellar follow-up, Are We Done Yet?); all the while trying to retain some semblance of street cred with songs like last year's "Gangsta Rap Made Me Do It," which just seems kind of fake at this point.
But come on: it's motherfucking Ice Cube. The man who taught us all how to drop bombs on your moms; the man who will swarm on any motherfucker a blue uniform. We should all be so lucky to star in a mediocre-at-best family film with Ice Cube. So there's really no reason to not be excited about the fact that he's playing the Grove of Anaheim on December 13. Tickets are on sale this Saturday at noon for $36, and there's a whole bunch of other, less gangsta, Grove of Anaheim shows on sale this Saturday, too.
