This weekend marks the return of Renegade Craft Fair to Los Angeles--don't miss their brand new location at Los Angeles State Historic Park.
Details about this massive outdoor craft spectacular after the jump.
It's so exciting that Renegade Craft Fair is happening at Los Angeles State Historic Park this year for a bunch of reasons. The event last summer was really great, but the acoustics of the indoor setting didn't really complement the live music that was present. This weekend, that gets rectified with an outdoor setting that can better accomodate music played at a higher volume. DJs from KXLU will be spinning tunes at this weekend's event, and music megastore Amoeba will be setting up a pop-up shop of sorts with plenty of music selections for you to peruse.
Craft workshops abound at the show this weekend, as well--Reform School will be teaching how to make your own kite, and Urban Craft Center will be teaching skills like circuit-bending, yarn-spinning, gocco-printing and book-binding.

And the craft vendors--oh, the craft vendors. Renegade Craft Fair is one of the larger craft fair events, boasting over 250 indie crafters showcasing and selling their wares. Don't miss out on your chance to discover the next big Etsy seller before anyone else does!
One of the things I'm most excited about with this Los Angeles craft show? It's convenient to get to. Los Angeles State Historic Park is located one block away from the Chinatown exit on the Metro Yellow Line, meaning no crazy Los Angeles driving or parking. Another perk to taking public transportation to the event? Present your Metro ticket stub at the Renegade Craft Fair Welcome Station, and you'll receive a free issue of Juxtapoz magazine. Couple that with the free admission and you're looking at a great deal for a day of indie crafting fun in the sun.
Renegade Craft Fair takes place from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on July 24 and 25 at Los Angeles State Historic Park. For more details, visit www.renegadecraft.com.
