Photojojo's photoreal pouch project is great on a lot of levels. It takes your photography talents and applies them in a fun new way, it's quick and easy to make, and anyone can do it. In a nutshell, you take a photo of the front and back of something, and lay the pictures out in Photoshop or other photo-editing software so the bottom edges touch. Print that file out on 8.5-inch-by-11-inch canvas paper (available at your local art or craft store–I like Art Supply Warehouse in Westminster), cut it out, fold it in half, and you're almost done.
Fast, right? The only thing left is to glue the side edges and add a little velcro along the top opening for a sense of security. Blammo — you've crafted something super-cool all by yourself. Bookmark the full tutorial here, folks; this will make a great Christmas present for lots of your friends.
