Gettin' Made: February Craft Classes In the OC and Beyond

With Valentine's Day fast approaching, there's no better time to get yourself signed up for a craft class so you can make something special for your loved ones. Scratching your head over what you and your beloved can do to celebrate the holiday? Consider buying a spot for each of you in a class you can take together! Write a sweet note in a card revealing the skill you'll be learning together, and POW! You've got a handmade Valentine's Day done right!

The Road Less Traveled in Santa Ana has always got you covered in the do-it-yourself department. Delilah Snell shares:

On Feb. 18, Seed People's Market in Santa Ana hosts a Paint Your Soul class. Participants bring their choice of canvas shoes and learn new tips and techniques to make their kicks into truly one-of-a-kind creations!

Handmade Galleries LA hosts its popular Intro to Art Clay Jewelry class on Feb. 26–don't miss it. Led by Linda Thibodeaux of Solstice LTD, participants will create a textured pendant and a pair of textured earrings and turn a natural leaf into a fine silver pendant. If you're looking for a fun present for your lady friend, you pretty much can't go wrong with a jewelry-making class.

Look no further than Santa Monica's Urban Craft Center for a Valentine's Day date you and your beloved won't soon forget. On Feb. 14, it's hosting D.I.Y. Date Night, focusing on screenprinting.
