Happy Fat Tuesday folks! As Mardi Gras draws to a close, Let's take a look at some fun New Orleans party inspired goods from a slew of Etsy crafters!

After the jump, more Mardi Gras pieces to help keep the party happening long after Fat Tuesday comes to a close.

This photograph totally reminds me of that movie Black Orpheus, a retelling of Orpheus and Eurydice that was set in carnivale in Rio De Janeiro. A little further away than New Orleans, but the spirit remains the same!

The nice thing about the internet is if you're jonesing for an authentic king cake there's someone out there that'll make and send you one! King cakes are a Mardi Gras tradition; a small plastic baby is hidden in the pastry, and whoever gets the piece of cake with the toy in it is king or queen for the day. (Fine print – if you are king or queen for the day it's your responsibility to supply next year's king cake!)

Want a king cake but not the calories? Then opt for this handmade soap version!

Looking to put on a Mardi Gras parade of your own? Don't forget to pick up some funky party masks!

And don't forget the beads, like this fun beaded cocktail ring! A great representation of the main colors associated with Mardi Gras – purple stands for justice, green stands for faith and gold stands for power. Bonus – if you buy yourself something beaded you don't have to go Girls Gone Wild to get it in the mail!
