Gettin' Made: Craft Classes for June

How is it June already? If you're running behind on your New Year's resolution to pick up a new craft technique or two, it's not too late – sign up for one of this month's craft classes being offered around the southland!

Class offerings this month at Home Ec in Silverlake include a workshop where you'll make the above pictured supercute babydoll dress! You could also learn how to make some fab stripey socks, get the low-down on the best ways to sew a zipper on a garment, or take an intensive, 2-day class on patternmaking! The Craft Kitchen is offering some fun new classes this month, too! Tin shrines, bottle cap jewelry, apron-sewing, you name it and they've got it! You could also learn how to sew cosmetic bags, pouches and purses or take a class in concocting natural handmade spa goodies! The Annex at The Road Less Traveled store has a class that really pricked up my ears this month – if you're not doing anything on Saturday afternoon, they've got a “How to Make Beer” class going on from 2 – 4:30pm!
