Funniest Kidz Bop Renditions of Your Favorite Songs

This Saturday afternoon, Kidz Bop's Dream Big, Sing Loud Tour is coming to The OC Fair. All the big name Billboard #1 Kidz Bop stars will be on hand, including Ashlynn Chong, Bredia Santoro, Grant Knoche, Jayna Brown and Matt Martinez. In observation of our favorite squeaky clean kid-friendly bop-friendly songsters, we've assembled our five favorite Kidz Bop renditions of all time.

5) “Tik Tok”
There's a lot a child can learn from Ke$ha, pretty much none of it good. That's why a Kidz Bop cover of “Tik Tok” is so perplexing. Still, hearing the kiddies' take on a night on the town as just being a little more than a sleepover makes them possibly seem a little more fun to hang out with. Either way, you're essentially choosing who you would rather babysit.

4) “Toxic”
Britney Spears' best song becomes one of Kidz Bop's finest hours. While there is the elusive adult slipped in to sing the racier parts, the bulk of “Toxic” and its ode to falling under a spell of seductive love remains intact. The question arises, do you think Britney Spears has played this version for her children?

3) “Float On”
You woke up this morning. You decided to check out the Heard Mentally section of OC Weekly. You clicked on this article about Kidz Bop. You scrolled down and decided to play the cover of “Float On.” You're greeted with a bevy of children singing “I backed my car into a cop car the other day – YEAH!” and your life is now all the better for it.

2) “Thrift Shop”
As you may have picked up by now, a lot of joy can be derived from relishing in Kidz Bop's lyrics changes. To be clear, we at the Weekly understand that there's some words youngsters who want to engage in popular music may not be ready to hear. Still, when a song gets an outrageous amount of work done to make it palatable for kids, it's pretty hilarious. Case in point, Macklemore's “Thrift Shop.” Beginning with walking into the club like “What up? I got a hit song!” you know we're off to the races.

1) “Bring Me to Life”
The holy grail of Kidz Bop is early 2000s nu-metal nightingales Evanescence's “Bring Me to Life.” Would you believe me if I told you that they didn't change a single lyric? At all. At all, at all. I mean, kids do seems smarter these days, and the opportunity for education is at their fingertips, but I do question a five-year-old's understanding of the gravity of mortality and the grim specter of despair enough for them to convincingly wail “Save Me From the Nothing I've Become.”
