To celebrate the release of St. Vincent's much anticipated third album, Strange Mercy (4AD), the artist born to this world as Annie Clark will perform a free show at LA's Space 15 Twenty (across the street from Amoeba Music). If you buy the album at Amoeba, Fingerprints, Origami, Rhino, or Vacation Vinyl, you will get a wristband to gain access to the show.
It's only Clark's second public performance with her new band, which features Toko Yasuda (Blonde Redhead, Enon) on mini moog, Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright) on drums, and Daniel Mintseris (Marianne Faithful) on keyboards. She premiered the new album and band live last month with a sold-out performance at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art.
St. Vincent performs for free today at 6 p.m., at Space 15 Twenty, 1520 N. Cahuenga Blvd., LA,
