Free Crap That Came In The Mail: Lullaby Renditions of Aerosmith

A lot of times "Free Crap That Came In The Mail" is just taking shots at easy targets. Why not? It's, you know, easy. But this installment is actually something sort of cool, that I probably would have otherwise ignored if not for the fact that it (you guessed it) came in the mail.

I only vaguely knew what "Rockabye Baby!" was before, but I did know that it was lullaby versions of popular tunes (like Kidz Bop taken to the next level--but not shitty), and that each disc focused on a different act. I didn't know they were all instrumentals, which is kind of cool, and removes the cheeseball factor of hearing someone singing "Dude (Looks Like a Lady)" in a soothing voice (kind of like the Conan O'Brien lullaby bit). Plus, it has nothing to do with that Shawn Mullins song, "Rockabye."

This one, Lullaby Renditions of Aerosmith, doesn't really do much for me (not a classic rock guy at like, all), but the insert for the other ones they've done really impressed me. Bjork? Queens of the Stone Age? Whoa!

And the covers are awesome:
