Flier of the Week: Black Fag at Alex's Bar, Long Beach

Nothing brings folks in Long Beach together like a good ol' fashioned gay, punk tribute band. And this Friday the flamboyant four-piece Black Fag are sashaying into Alex's Bar—LBC's rough and tumble punk palace—to stir up a good time and make all the boring, heterosexual Black Flag tribute bands jealous–again.

Fronted by the show-tune tenor of Liberace Morris, the band's punk rock pizazz has even received the stamp of approval from former Black Flag singer Ron Reyes. And look, even dead actor Paul Lynde seems to dig it. Or maybe he's just checking out all the buff hustlers cruising in the background.
Because this is their first show of the year, Black Fag is excited to be “starting 2010 with a BANG” at Alex's Bar. They're being backed by an opening band called the Junk. Black Fag probably wouldn't have it any other way.
