The Yost Theater is opening next week amid a ton of controversy (read our cover story on it here), but the developers of East End of Downtown Santa Ana (the area around 4th St. formerly called Fiesta Marketplace) are all set to celebrate its opening (and the influx of new shops). They're reintroducing the area to the community via the East End Music (+ More) Festival on Saturday, August 6, to go together with the Yost's opening.

All of the East End venues–including The Yost Theater–such as Eibar Coffee,
La Paloma, R&R Sportswear, Guadalajara, Fiesta Mall, Charlie's
Tattoo, American Barber, Dame Elegante, and more will be open from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be live music, DJs and product
sampling throughout the night.
In-line skating competition and expo,
The Blading Cup, will be at French Plaza. The Food
Network's Great American Food Truck Race Contestant, The Lime Truck,
will be there too, in front of Chef Jason Quinn's soon to open
Playground Restaurant on 4th street.
OC Fashion Association will be
hosting a Designer Bazaar with a cocktail reception, hipster barbershop American Barber will
present a special meet & greet with pro boxers and Moya's Bakery will
host a Cupcake Sprinkle Bar.
Everything will be free and open to
the public except for The Yost Theater, which is hosting an Unwritten Law concert at 8 p.m.
Tickets are $19.99 in advance online at
http://yosttheater.com and $23 at the door the day of the show. All ages.
Yost will also have a free open house after the show at
10 p.m. with DJs and drinks served until 2 a.m.
