The love 'em or hate 'em Dave Matthews Band, which seem to have toured every summer of the past two decades, returns to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater August 21. DMB has always struck me as a boring jazz-fusion act but their latest studio release, Big Whiskey and GrooGrux King, might be their best album to date thanks to some-much needed New Orleans flavoring and the emotional punch that comes from losing a band member (saxophonist LeRoi Moore). DMB typically brings quality openers and Brett Dennen easily ranks as one of the better young singer/songwriters working the folk/pop angle. Tickets are $35.75 and $65.75. Click for more info.
