Daft Punk's Video for 'Derezzed' From the 'Tron: Legacy' Soundtrack Makes You Want to Watch the Movie

Lest you forget TRON Tuesday, Disney today premiered Daft Punk's video for “Derezzed,” a song off their movie score on MySpace.

Frenchies Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter also have a cameo in the video. Check them out manning the turntables at the 1:30 mark in the MySpace version. They're at the End of the Line Club, with Castor, played by Michael Sheen, who tells them “Change the scene, alter the mood! Electrify the boys and girls, if you would be so kind.” That's exactly what Daft Punk does, so watch it after the jump.

This version of the video from YouTube has the Daft Punk cameo in the beginning. Theories abound on whether the actual soundtrack will be less of a Daft Punk album and more of a score, but “Derezzed” seems made to pacify the electronic duo's hardcore fanatics; it's pretty hard to believe the whole soundtrack will rock this hard.

The video itself is pretty fantastic, and a great trailer for Tron: Legacy if you weren't already super stoked to watch it. And if (like me) you weren't originally a fan, you'll probably start lusting after that $2,600 necklace after watching it til the end.
