Courtney Love's Self-Realizations

In an interview for Citizens of Humanity, Love revealed that she was asked to give a TED talk on “reputation.”

“Rather than discuss it out loud in front of the world, why don’t I just prove it and then maybe speak on it after I’ve proven it?” She told interviewer/friend Jemima Kirke. “Take a bad reputation and turn it into a good one, take all those things that were hideous and turn poison into medicine.”

It seems like Love is keeping her word. The songstress will be starring in a variety of upcoming acting roles. Most surprisingly is a lead role in Kansas City Choir Boy, a small-scale opera (“a musical drama that is mostly sung,” Billboard clarifies) in New York City this week. The show is sold-out through January 17.

Love will also star in A Midsummer’s Nightmare, a Lifetime thriller series based on Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” aptly described as mysterious, sinister, and dark.

She will also star alongside James Franco in an upcoming movie titled The Long Home. The film—directed and produced by Franco—is based on the 1999 William Gay novel of the same name and is currently in post-production.

The '90s icon still finds time to stay involved in the fashion industry. Love recently collaborated with the clothing site Nasty Gal to release an updated ‘90s retro collection based on her personal wardrobe and style.
