Cold War Kids' New Album, 'Mine Is Yours,' Out January
Cold War Kids today announced that they're releasing their third studio album, Mine is Yours (Downtown Records) on Jan. 25, 2011.
The 11-song set was recorded in Nashville and LA. While we weren't really that impressed with 2008's Loyalty to Loyalty, we're crossing our fingers and hoping that Mine Is Yours will grip us with the same intense emotion as their debut Robbers & Cowards.
In a release, Nathan Willett said of this album:
I got home from tour and realized I was married. All my friends had either jumped in the deep end of a relationship or had drowned. When did things get so serious? We fought growing up but the wild nights and free-for-all caught up to us. Some people got out in time and others had permanent damage. For this record, I wrote about the joys and failures of commitment all around me.
The band's tour kicks off in Pomona at The Glass House on Nov. 5.
