Despite the fact that he looks like the creepiest rapper of all time, Candyman 187 announced that he's holding a cover song contest for students; the winner will get a $3,000 scholarship.
Candyman 187 wants contestants to record their version of his single "High off the Fame" featuring Long Beach native Snoop Dogg.
The song is to be uploaded to YouTube and then voted on by fans. All submissions need to be in by October 15, and the winner will be chosen by October 31.
"I'm really excited to hear different students' interpretation of my song," Candyman 187 says. "Music education overall is really important to me, as it allows students to express themselves in a safe, and creative way. I'm happy that I'm able to give back in a small, yet meaningful way that will hopefully inspire others to do the same."
