BREAKING: Sublime Lawsuit Settled; Showdates Planned

So the last we heard from the Long Beach-based Sublime, their
future as a band was in jeopardy. As you know, after original lead
singer Bradley Nowell had died of a heroin overdose in 1996 and the
remaining members of Sublime decided to reform in 2009 with a new lead
singer, 21-year-old Rome Ramirez.

The estate of Nowell, however, wasn't too pleased: Nowell's wife, son and father issued a statement stating their full support for bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh–just not under the Sublime name, which Nowell had trademarked.

And here comes the whole “breaking news” aspect of the post: According to a credible source, the lawsuit has just been settled and Sublime, or what's left of Sublime, will henceforth be called Sublime With Rome.

Oh, and also: Sublime (With Rome) already has 150 show dates in store, which we assume, will soon be announced. Check back here for more updates.

After the jump: A video of  21 year old Rome Ramirez performing at SmokeOut Festival 2009–living the dream, kid! LIVING THE DREAM.
