Angel Olsen's Devilish Observations

Angel Olsen's voice lives up to her forename—just don't read into the singer-songwriter's choice to don a silver-tinseled wig in her music videos:

“People have been like, ‘Oh you’re trying to be Grimes, you’re trying to be Sia.’ Are you fucking kidding me? The only reason I wore [the wig] was because I didn’t have a stylist who could make sure my hair looked the same throughout all of the frames.”

Olsen's third full-length album, My Woman, was released in September. The songstress is currently on tour and will be performing at The Wiltern in Los Angeles on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2017.

“If someone asked me am I a feminist because I wrote an album called My Woman, it’s a little narrow-minded in my opinion,” Olsen told factmag.com. “Of course I am a feminist, but I would also say I’m a humanitarian and I believe that we should all be equal.”

“To me, women have to [practice forgiveness] every single day,” Olsen explained to factmag.com. “To their parents, to their lovers, people that they work with who they know don’t intend to belittle or categorize them… I’m saying I’m just a woman and I notice these things.”
