DEAR EXENE: I've never been so proud as an American as I was standing outside City Hall in downtown Los Angeles, protesting during the Occupy Movement. I had a bad first impression because the "Free Weed" guy was nearest to us, but we mingled into the crowd talking to so many friendly people. I've lived in Orange County for 25 years and never met such inspirational citizens—people concerned about others and fed up with all of our circumstances. The disproportionately unequal distribution of wealth, hospitals that are more interested in cash than care, the government that has abandoned its people, and an environment that pillages and destroys for the bottom line of capitalism.
Last week, I passed City Hall—desolate, looking abandoned and now fenced off from the city to keep citizens from protesting. Alone in my room with the Olympic Games in the background, I'm reminiscing and watching Occupy Wall Street commentary videos on You Tube featuring intelligent commentary from random citizens and guys such as Chris Hedges, sadly with a tag of nine months aged. Where has our momentum dispersed? I miss the feel of community, Exene. For those brief moments I felt as though we were acting as citizens, not just watching ones. I'm curious about your thoughts on Occupy and wonder if you think we will again see a spark of what made this country great?

DEAR SEEKING: There are a few obstacles.
Television: mind-numbing, mind-destroying programming. The subliminal images in commercials, the violence, sexism, consumerism, corporate product culture, reality shows, news media—all of it is perfectly researched and designed to brainwash the populace.
The media: the news now is the issuing, word for word, of government press releases. Any testimony by eyewitnesses who refute the official story is ignored. Not only do news reporters not dig to uncover corruption and lawlessness, but they also cover it up. They make up quotes, edit and rearrange words to make innocence guilt and guilt innocence, and, in general, are nothing more than pretty faces and guys in suits saying blah-blah-blah.
The educational system: Valiant teachers and parents have managed to hold the crumbling institution of learning together, but it can't hang on much longer.

Sodium fluoride: This was added to the U.S. water supply to prevent tooth decay in children. This is, of course, a lie. The corporate state cares nothing about reproductive health or prenatal care. Sodium fluoride is in our water to make us stupid and docile. It lowers IQ and affects brain and nerve development. There is ample scientific backing that sodium fluoride is a toxin.
My advice to everyone is to get your mind as open as you can and start researching where we are and how we got here. And remember, all your taxes are funding your enslavement.
Good luck, Seeking! You can be a messenger of truth. Get informed and spread the word; stay positive and peaceful. And don't let the hatred, anger and ridicule people direct at you because you ARE informed stop you.
