If Xalos Bar were a character from a play, it would be Blanche Dubois from Tennessee Williams's A Streetcar Named Desire. The venue definitely looks better at night with assistance from some innovative lighting. Variously colored walls and a thatch-roof taco stand work to create a festive atmosphere, but might throw off clubbers expecting classier decor. The crowd is predominantly local and gets rather dense on weekends after 10 p.m. Xalos is equipped with a full bar and although the tenders might not keep on top of their specials, they can certainly whip up a decent classic.
