Ok sooo Basically this was a great event. I was going to see the English beat with one of my fiends "dove" who is a big fan of them and i am into more of the newer Ska stuff(due to my age of 17) sooo i though what the hell its not that expensive. We show up at the coach house and it was decently packed but enough sitting room for everyone. The first couple of bands were pretty good this some great sounds and defiantly something that i would listen to. Then The English beat came on and everyone was screaming and yelling. They had some major great openers and then proceeded to pick up the tempo. That's where i came across the first hitch....Due to the seating and table placements it made it a difficult to dance( and skanking takes up some room) because there was crap all around you. This could have been fixed by moving some of the tables out of the way but security was too busy keeping anyone from leaving cuz there was no "ins and outs". But that didnt stop the people there from having a great time and there was one of the best vibes i have ever seen at a concert....and that saying something. Well the music was amazing and i have to say that the english beat is alot better live that on youtube. But all in all it was a kick ass concert and i would happily do it all over again because that was one of the times that i will remember when im older ;P anyways hit me up if ya have any questions Phyops777@yahoo.com

Overall:
At the Coach House Sat. night for Mike Ness show. The sound was all about PERFECT (which is more than I can say for the night before at the El Rey). However, Mike Ness does not put on the kind of show you want to sit down to, as you have to at the Coach House. Very difficult to stay in your seat at one of his shows. Also annoying was the numerous peole walking in front of you during the show blocking your view. All in all, in my opinion terrible venue for this type of show. Even if you got some of the front tables (which I think are all bought up by KROQ prior to going on sale to the public), you are still stuck in your seat. I say throw out the tables and sell more tickets for standing room only, but then they won't make the money on the dinners they sell you to get your reserved seats.

Overall:
We flew out to California to see this band and they did not disappoint! In fact, we said the extended version of Inagaddadavida alone was worth trip! The original version was 17 minutes long, but I swear this went on for a good 30 minutes, owing to the awesome extended keyboard intro. The drummer and bass player are original members; the guitarist and keyboardest are newer members but their style is faithful to the original. Excellent, excellent show.
