In terms of airport food, you could do a lot worse than Vino Volo. This wine bar and small plates restaurant is one in a chain that specializes in being an airport eatery while not sucking. For sure it’s a refuge from the guilt you’ll get from eating at Cinnabon or the overpriced, deep-fried dreck you’ll find in most airport concourses. The mac and cheese is hot, gooey and good, showered with breadcrumbs. The charcuterie and cheese platter is as immaculate as any place worth its cabernet. And the braised pork taco is better than it needs to be. And when you order wine to take the edge off the TSA-induced stress, they have a handy-dandy Venn diagram-like chart that shows off the characteristics of the varietals you can choose from. Heck, you might even learn something.
