While the concept of waffle sandwiches might not be an original idea in this golden age of Bruxie, you can't fault the irrepressible Leonard Chan of California Shabu Shabu fame for throwing his hat into the ring. His Iron Press serves waffle sandwiches alright, but also beer, in the blossoming hipster haven called OC Mart Mix in what otherwise would have been just a furniture-superstore complex if Chan and friends hadn't come in and also made it into a foodie destination. You'll most likely be charmed by Chan himself as you dine. Nearly every seat is a bar seat within wafting distance of the waffles being cooked in an assembly-line fashion and reheated when an order comes in. The waffle burgers are fine, the beers are cold, but the hipster camaraderie and to shake Chan's hand is why you go.
