Just because Sky Express is the only Chinese restaurant inside the predominantly Japanese Mitsuwa market and foodcourt doesn't mean that it is content to phone it in. They'll do a House Special Noodle soup that slurps almost as good as the ramen next door, with shrimp cooked exactingly and slices of pork with just the right amount of its fat still attached. Their daily specials are even better. If it's available, take them up on their black bean pork dish, which has thick and often bone-on pieces of deep fried hog stir fried in a black bean sauce and served on top of too much rice and steamed baby bok choy. It's the kind of dish any Chinese mom would cook for dinner and the kind of food that any person, Japanese, white or otherwise would appreciate as comfort.
